Know how to properly safety wire fasteners and other components. Know how to handle a torque wrench properly and how to determine correct torque settings and if the wrench is within legal compliance. Know how to inspect and properly and safely change a tire. Know how and where to quickly find the information you need (regulations, maintenance practices, etc) if you do not have it at the tip of your tongue.
