-I am flying to Germany in 2 weeks time and have never flown Ryanair before - I am not too worried about baggage etc I think I'll be OK however I am slightly worried about their seat size. Having recently flown with KLM and finding their seats snug but comfy for a 14 hour flight I am worried about Ryanair. I am a UK size 20/22 and am 5ft2 - I carry most of my weight on my hips (unfortunately) and I am slightly worried about getting the seatbelt around me! Does anyone have any experience with this? Please don't tell me to "lose weight" and please don't be mean - I don't want to hear things like "if you're worried, lose weight" etc, I am simply asking for advice of people who have experience with this type of problem! :)Width of the seat in the RyanAir airplane likely to be same as your KLM seat -
Generally, "low cost" airlines reduce "leg room spacing" to put more passengers -
The 737 you will fly has maximum of 3+3 passenger rows -
They cannot increase the 6 seats per row... not enough room for that...! -
So you should be ok, have a good trip -
Most of us are not meaning to be mean - We understand your plight -The seats have basically the same width like on any other 737. The seat pitch is relatively narrow (not due to too many rows, other airlines have this many too - but Ryanair uses relatively thick seats), but you an try to get an exit row seat (no extra cost, just be fast at the boarding). Another thing is, that the seatbelts are relatively short, but for safety reasons they have to provide extensions if needed.
Ryan air has the smallest seat width and pitch in the industry. If you were uncomfortable on KLM you'll be uncomfortable on Ryan. You should have thought of that before you bought tickets. They do have seatbelt extenders, so ask for one when you get onboard.
:) sweetie im sorry but it might be a tight squeeze. look at the link below for some pics of the seats and http://www.google.com/search?
