-I will be entering the US Air force to start training as a fighter pilot and I wanted to know what do you do while you are there and do they use similators to train you before they put you in a fighter jet and do you fly your first flight alone and how do they know when you are ready to start flying a real fighter jet? Personal Experiences would be much appreciated.Thank youThese days you begin your flight training in the Beechcraft/Raytheon AT-6 Texan 2. Every pilot, Air Force and Navy now begins flight training in that aircraft. The Texan 2 is replacing both the Air Forces T-37 and the Navys T-34. There are simulators for the Texan 2, made by Flight Safety, and in primary you will get about 1/2 of your training in the simulator, the other half in the airplane.First of all you do not know if you will be selected for fighters -
You might be... flying a B-52 or C-17... -
All depends of their current requirements - The silver wings are same -
Whatever your recruiter told you about getting in F-16, was probably hogwash -
Stop dreaming - Now you are in the real world -
Yes, they use simulators -
First, you will fly T-37 - Then T-38, almost a fighter jet (like a F-5) -
