What Ratings do I need?

-I want a job I have seen as a King Air flying instructor

I currently have my CPL, FI rating & IR

But will I be able to instruct on a King Air with just a King Air rating or do I need a special King Air Instructor Rating?

Help!!!

ThanksAssuming you're in the USA, you just need a Flight Instructor - Airplane Multi Engine certificate. I don't think they require type ratings but I could be wrong on the largest king airs.

Of course, you're forgetting a very important, possibly unwritten, requirement to get that job... a heck of a lot of time in King Airs. 250 hour commercial pilots don't get those jobs.
What is the gross weight of a King air? 12,500 lbs or less? then not a "large aircraft)

Is King air "turbojet powered?

Do you have a multi engine rating on your CFI certificate?

FAR's also require 5 hours PIC time in specific make and model. Insurance probably requires much more.

King Air 350i Gross takeoff weight 15,000 pounds. looks like type rating required on your CPL
