-i am looking to get into the aviation field and would like to know where i could work with a cpl and 250 hours.
I would prefer if people could tell me then names of airlines rather than just what job i could do.
ThanksI know of no airline that would hire you as a pilot with only 250 hours. To be competitive as a new pilot, applying for a First Officer position, you're gonna need at least 1000 hours. The insurance companies won't allow most airlines or part 135 operators to hire anyone with less than that.
The jobs you can get with only 250 hours require you to get your instructor rating(s). That is the only way to build the flight time you need to work for the airlines later.
Remember, a company's website might say the minimum requirement is 1000 or 1500, etc. but in order to have a chance against the ex-Air Force guys with 2000-3000 hours, you're gonna have to work very hard building your time and that can be very expensive.
My best advice is join the military or move to Alaska. There are more pilot jobs in Alaska than in anywhere in the world.
Good luck.
Any airline of the country where your pilot licence is issued -
If a Transport Canada pilot licence, any Canadian airline -
Provided that -
(1) this airline is hiring pilots at the time you apply -
(2) they accept CPL with 250 hours - most require ATPL + 2,000 hours -
(3) you can be legally employed in Canada -
(4) you have the required education (some require 4 years college degree) -
Since "you will get in the aviation field", means that you will start training -
Nobody knows what the job market will be 2 or 3 years from now...
You need to instruct and build hours. Get your CFI and II at least at the same time. MEI would get nice to get later.
