I hold a FAA commercial pilot certification, single and multi engine. What do I need to do to fly in Ukraine?

-I will be moving to Ukraine and will like to fly in that country, not necessarily for hire. More interested in gliders at this time.To fly airplanes under Ukraine registry "UR", you must have a Ukrainian license -

You can probably obtain a Ukrainian PPL, just by requesting it -

For the Ukrainian CPL, it will likely require a test -

Glider flying always was popular in Eastern European countries -

You will need to go to their aeronautical administration in Kiev -

Edit > Zaphod -

You just wacked the face of Ukrainians...! -

Their national language is Ukrainian, not Russian -

Many can speak Russian - but since independance, things changed -

Do you also say that Palestinians' language is Hebrew...?

Edit > Doo Wop -

No doubt Russian is still used a lot in Ukraine -

However the pro-Western anti-Russian are likely to avoid Russian language -

I was in the Baltic countries in the 1990s -

Estonians, Latvians, Lituanians hate Russians, as Ukrainians do -

Ukrainiens with names ending in "enko" - not in "ski" or "tov" -

Was in Odessa in 2005, the two populations there just "tolerate" each other -

There are bars-restaurants for Ukranians, and others for Russians -
You'll need a Ukrainian pilots license. I hope you speak Russian.
