Image of WWII Plane with airbag crash landing deployed?

-well I heard that there was a WWII Plane that had an airbag like device that inflates and acts as a method to help soften crash-landings. I haven't been able to find the document that I found out about these, nor have I been able to find an image of one, or find any more info about them online. Do they even exist? What are the called? Where can I get an image of one?The first airbag didn't exist until 1968
